Carpentry Crew Leader/Team Member

We are looking for a motivated and skilled carpenter with a minimum of 3-5 years experience. The ideal candidate would share a passion for creative and quality carpentry. They would be able to work well with others but also be proficient on their own.


    • Read blueprints, drawings, sketches and technical documents to understand requirements.

    • Take measurements and accurately calculate the size and amount of material needed.

    • Cut, shape, mill and finish lumber/building materials according to the construction documentation, blueprints, design renderings and/or measurements to complete the task or job. 

    • Lay out flooring and sheet goods including wall/roof sheathing and drywall. 

    • Cut and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, doors, gates, arbors, pergolas, fencing, decks/decking. 

    • Inspect locations and conduct repairs or maintenance.

    • Build scaffolding, bracing and forms.

    • Complete all work related to a particular project’s scope of i.e. framing to finish. 

    • Experience supervising other carpenters, a crew or managing a project is a plus. 

    In addition, the Carpentry Team Member will have:

    • A valid driver’s license.

    • Hands-on experience working with a variety of materials.

    • A sound understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. We are always learning!

    • Proficiency in using power and hand tools.  Indigenous Ingenuities Carpentry branch shoots elevations, locates footers, excavates, frames and finishes. 

    • Ability to work efficiently with little supervision while following all health and safety standards local, state and federal. 

    • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.

    • Good understanding of basic math.

    • Good physical condition and endurance.

    • Willingness to do all tasks necessary to complete a project with superb results.

    • Great communication skills among staff, supervisors and clients. 

    • Willingness to express that you do not know how to/are willing to learn something new and the desire to learn.

    Working Hours:
    This is a full time position that comes with a benefits package of healthcare, vision, matching 401(k) and PTO.

    Compensation:
    $25-$35 commensurate with experience.

Garden Care & Restoration Crew Member

As a Garden Care and Restoration Team Member, you should have a passion for working outdoors, learning new skills, delivering quality workmanship in the field, and having fun with your team while working hard! You will gain expertise in ecological land care at an innovative company with opportunities for career growth and movement into leadership positions.

    • Full-time and Seasonal Positions available.

    • Work is Mon-Fri for 40+ hours in all weather conditions.

    • Our season runs from March to November, depending on weather and workload.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support your crew in maintaining landscapes that look beautiful and provide ecological benefits, connecting people to their environment.

    • Perform physical labor such as: digging, mulching, planting, raking, weeding, weed whacking, pruning, and pushing wheelbarrows up hills.

    • Safely operate trucks and trailers.

    • Maintain and organize electric and hand tools.

    • Contribute to a positive company culture by communicating effectively and treating all staff and clients with respect.

  • Crew Members need experience or knowledge in the following areas:

    • Landscaping or physical labor experience is preferred.

    • Experience using landscaping tools and driving trucks and trailers, or at minimum the desire to learn.

    • Desire to learn about ecological practices and native plants.

    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute to a cooperative crew dynamic.

    • Receptiveness to feedback from your Crew Leader and Manager.

    • Desire to move into leadership positions is a plus.
